Top 5 Websites To Get A US Virtual Bank Account

The web has seen tremendous growth when it comes up to money management/money transfer or banking as more and more people are going paper less everyday. One of the most significant role that the web plays when it comes to online entrepreneurs is that they can easily set up their online work without any trouble or expense. As is with many affiliate programs or so they have a requirement of the user or the affiliate marketer having a US bank account for receiving payments. As getting a bank account is tough the best alternative is to get a US virtual bank account. Lets have a look how.

Why would you get a Virtual Bank Account?

Well if you are American or US Resident

  • No Maintenance: You get a real bank account without any balance maintenance. Account balance maintenance in most cases is optional and if  you maintain, your fees would most certainly be waved off. So you don’t need to worry if you have no money in your account, It will work just fine.
  • Low Fees : You don’t pay any fees(in some) or pay low fees in all of them. Of course this fees is extremely lower than what a real bank account will charge you for.
  • No Credit Checks : If you need a card for online purchases or of shopping at a store you get a prepaid card that will only allow you to spend the money you have in your bank account. So in any case you don’t run into any sort of debt and there are no credit checks any of them.

If You are not American or a Non-resident

If you are a foreigner or American not living in USA then you probably need this more.
  • The current US laws don’t allow anyone to have a bank account if you don’t physically visit the bank branch.
  • Some online programs may require to pay only into an American bank account or may charge extra money to pay into international bank accounts.
So if you have the marketing talent and you can pull in some thousand dollars with affiliate marketing you should go ahead and do it and not worry. If you need payouts you really don’t need to go to the USA and get an American bank account.
There are many services that mainly provide virtual bank account sin the form of prepaid cards that can be used to draw money from Amazon payments, Google Adsense or PayPal. In all of them you get a VISA/Master Card as well as ACH number and an account number just like a real bank account.  Some of them are :

Netspend

If you are starting your business as a freelancer and are based either in the United States this is one of the best ways. To get a Netspend prepaid card you need to apply online and that will come up with a virtual bank account that will allow you to receive direct deposits or your Paypal payments.
The catch : Offers a free account with no monthly fees
Disadvantages : Doesn’t offer account for business(only personal accounts) and only ships the cards inside the USA.

Payoneer

This is one of the most popular prepaid cards that is available in the market. The best this is available globally(except India). Payoneer has always been voted as one of the best companies by its users.
The Catch : Can be used for business purposes and available globally.
Disadvantages : An annual $30 fees

Pex Card

This is one of the rarest cards that I got to see that offers prepaid cards for business-only purposes. While some of the companies may not make this available so Pex Card is only available for business purposes. So if you’ve formed a corporation or LLC you can easily get a bank account.
The Catch : Prepaid card for business
Disadvantage : No free account available

Rush Card

Another option as long as my research goes, this is one of the services that has got a lot of positive reviews all over.
The Catch : Free account available
Disadvantages : Can’t be used for business purposes

Bluebird

One of the latest and newest in the prepaid card industry by Walmart. Of course this needs no explanation anymore.
The Catch : No Fees
Disadvantages : Needs SSN to sign up.
I guess these bank accounts will in most cases solve a lot of money issues non-American internet entrepreneurs face, although we still wait for US Startup visa that may allow immigrant entrepreneurs to stay and work in the USA.
